Dr. Bouvet has an active surgical practice at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center and UCSD Thornton Hospital where he is Director of Endocrine Surgery and Co-Director of the Gastrointestinal Specialized Care Unit. He has extensive experience in surgery of the pancreas, esophagus, thyroid and parathyroid and has made many contributions in these fields. Dr. Bouvet is one of the only surgeons in San Diego who provides minimally invasive parathyroidectomy techniques to patients with primary hyperparathyroidism. He also teaches annual courses on surgery for pancreatic cancer and thyroid cancer.
