Dr. Auger's clinical interests include chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and critical care medicine. His investigative interests are focused on the natural history of deep venous thromboembolic disease. These activities have resulted in research efforts examining the acute, high permeability lung injury experienced by patients following surgical removal of their chronic thromboembolic pulmonary vascular lesions. Dr. Auger is also pursuing investigations involving direct visualization and imaging of pulmonary thromboembolic disease.
