By becoming a pediatrician, Dr. Loper fulfilled a lifelong dream of meeting the special health needs of children and adolescents. Her own early experiences with doctors who were not trained specifically to treat children convinced her that she could make a difference for young patients.

Dr. Loper's interests include keeping up with politics and current events, and being active in sports. Her family, friends and dog (rescued from the pound) help keep her balanced.
