Dr. Mattrey started the body MR imaging program at UCSD in 1985 and served as the Director until 2005. He continues to be involved in all aspects of Body MR, particularly Prostate and Scrotal imaging and MR applications in pregnancy.
He performs ultrasound contrast studies to assess vascular patency, tumor viability, liver lesion characterization and tumor response to therapy.
