Dr. Barba joined the UCSD faculty in 1988. His areas of special expertise include brain tumors, acoustic neuromas and trigeminal neuralgia. He is the neurosurgical consultant for the stereotactic radiosurgery program at UCSD and is one of two UCSD surgeons performing surgical procedures to provide relief for patients suffering from tremor disorders. Dr. Barba has been an invited distinguished lecturer or panelist at over 50 meetings and conferences.
