Victor Legner, M.D., M.S.

Victor J. Legner, MD received his Geriatrics Fellowship from the University of Washington (one of the top 10 programs nationally), and completed a second Fellowship in Advanced Geriatrics there, as well. He has a Masters in Public Health (MPH). He received the prestigious and highly competitive Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship from NIH, and has been the principal investigator (PI) on three additional grants, two from NIH and one from the Hartford Foundation. Finally, he is the first author on two important papers in competitive journals, Am. J. Cardiol., and Am J Med. His colleagues at the University of Washington, Seattle, acknowledged Dr. Legner as an outstanding clinician-educator.
Dr. Legner’s clinical interests are on both outpatient Geriatrics and pre-operative evaluation of the older adult. His research interests focus on using “pre-habilitation”, a comprehensive program in patients undergoing elective surgery, to improve their surgical outcomes and post-operative health.
